Avoid anything overcomplicated with offense or defense for the most part for basketball because the game moves pretty fast.
Some cute ones we've taught before for pee wee were:
__________ are great! Best in the state!
1-2-3-4 come on ________ let's score!
S-P-I (x) (x) R-I-T (x) (x) spirt, spirit (x) (x) let's hear it
__________ let's rock. Give it all you've got!
__________ let's score. 2 points more
Our team is tic-tic-tic-tic BOOM! dynamite (great for 2nd grade and younger: on the tics, they did arms like a clock moving, and then jumped on the boom)
Come on' _________, let's go (team color)
Think simple clean motions overall. The little ones can get away with just being cute and yelling but once they're around 3rd or 4th grade the "cute" hip shakes/stomps/etc. look sloppy in my opinion. Since it's your 1st year coaching have you looked into any coaching cheer books? Some of them are really helpful!
