Has anyone seen some new basket tosses at the high school/all-star level (no inversions)? I keep seeing one that is almost like a switch-kick with a half twist (or full twist?) but the switch kick is done underneath or behind the flyer, like splits, (not out in front) and the second switch is almost a kick arch-back to a scorpion. I have no idea what they are called but they look pretty cool! If I can find a video of it I will give you guys the link  Grin

Has anyone seen anything else new out there at the high school (or all-star level 5 and under) levels?

Oooh I found a video of it on varsity tv from the nhscc - graves county coed varsity!  They do the basket toss at about :18 left in the video. It looks like a kick-arabesque when they do it, but it's similar to what I was talking about!

If it's what I think it is, I think I saw Christian Brothers do it maybe their last year competing?? (I still wonder where this powerhouse team went.)

I'll go look at the GravesCo team video.

Not sure if Christian brothers did it with the 1/2 twist, but I am pretty sure they did the split switch kick thing. (I think. LOL My memory is a bit swiss cheesed these days.)

Was it CB's 2005 routine? I just watched it and it had that basket toss in there! So much cleaner that the Graves County one!

Yep, that's it. It seems to me that was around them time they disappeared. I think the coach retired but I have no idea why the program itself wasn't able to continue in the way it had been run. Sad They really were incredible.
