What type of competition are you going to?  Different competitions have different sounding cheers.  For example, if you look at UCA competitions, they are looking for cheers that are easy to follow and lead the crowd to respond.  However teams that compete at some of the other competitions usually have cheers that seem like they tell a story - not cheers that the crowd yells back with you.

Does your competition just ask for a cheer, or is there music also.  I love theme routines.  If you could match your cheer (what you want the crowd to yell) to a musical theme (fire up with "fire" or "hot" songs, for example), that's fun!

Do you currently have or plan to incorporate the following?
-poms
-signs
-stunts
-tumbling

"to get the crowd going"--are you seeking strong crowd involvement or a showy "wow--look at that" type of cheer?

Cheer Coach & Choreographer, CA

I would suggest hiring a choreographer if you don't have anyone who you feel can do it on your staff. It is hard to have someone make up a cheer for you through messages alone.

we have one of the poorest orginizations. We dont have the money to pay anyone. All our coaches are volunteers . All I need is a short maybe a 2-8ct cheer that we can say during our routine.

Well I don't know how much help this'll be but here's a cheer...

This one includes some simple clapping/patting/snapping patterns at the end.

it goes..

Are you read? Are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?
The knights are ready tonight so get up on your feet
And move to the beat, 'cuz it goes....
*Pat Pat clap slide on your arm snap clap*
*Pat clap slide snap clap*
