I'd like to learn how to do one. Without having a membership to a gym. I can do a cartwheel, roundoff, and front handspring. I'd like to kick it up a few notches.

You really need to go to a gym for this. Handsprings, front and back, can be dangerous. You need to work in a safe environment with a qualified coach spotting you.

(Sorry that wasn't what you wanted to hear, but as a coach it is my obligation to tell you that.)

You could find all kinds of websites with information on the internet that will tell you how to do one, BUT you need much more than just instructions.  Finding information like that won't give you anyone there to specificially see the things you are doing wrong, if bad habits are forming, nobody to spot you, and the list goes on and on.  If you are truly interested in learning how to do a backhandspring and don't want to go to a gym, I would suggest checking out your City's Recreation Department.  Many times cities offer gymnastics classes that are affordable and you will be taught by someone who is trained to help you.  Those types of classes are a dime a dozen in the summer time (at least in my area).  Many will be beginner classes, however since you say you already have the basics down, you could take an intermediate class.  If they don't have any specific tumbling classes you could look and see if they offer cheer classes.  I teach classes for the City I live in.  One of my Cheer classes I teach includes tumbling.  Usually it is very basic tumbling, but if I have someone who proves they already knows the basics and uses proper technique, I will move forward with them.  If you happen to live in Southern California I can point you in the right direction on some.  If not, just check with the Recreation Departments for the major cities near you.

I landed my front handspring in a gym back in January at an open gym. I just want to learn new stuff that I could do specifically for cheerleading. I found a class but it would cost $297 for a 3 hour class and I don't know if my family would be able to be okay with paying that much for one 3 hour class a week for 10 weeks.

Was that through a Cheer gym or Gymnastics gym?  That price seems about right for those type of classes, but that would be really high for a Park and Recreation class.  I would keep trying to see what classes are available.  It's the summer time so there should be a bunch available and just keep shopping around.  I'm sure eventually you can find one that will be in a price range that will work for your family.  Are you on a cheer team now?  If your coach is trained to help you with tumbling maybe you could ask him/her if you could pay him/her to do some private lessons with you.

It's at a gymnastics gym. Our cheer squad is unsure about whether or not we have a coach yet.
