I know you can't do this at the extended level, but could I have hitches at the "half" level that connect? I'm thinking one girl would hold the next girl's hitched foot, etc.  and have 4 in a row?  Would this be legal at the HS level?

thanks!

There are rules in our state about a primary weight holder (base or anyone holding the flyer) must have both feet on the ground.  If the prep-level hitch flyer put any weight on the flyer holding the hitch foot, not only is this unsafe, but illegal (at least, in our state).

As for the connection at prep level on one leg, I am unaware of a rule making this illegal.  But you're asking in the right place...there are many AACCA certified persons who read these posts!

The AACCA rule about connected stunts is Rule # five [UR=http://aacca.org/content.aspx?item=Safety/09-10-High-School-Cheerleading-Rules.xml]at this link[/URL].

To answer your question, yes you could have linked connected stunts at shoulder level.
